Roping calves – rural lifestyle photographer

Last week I was able to get out and take some farm photos; I hadn’t realized how busy I had been taking wedding and family photos that I hadn’t even been out taking any lifestyle or nature photos that I really enjoy doing as well.

Theses photos are of Janelle (Craig’s sister) and Tony (Janelle’s riding buddy and very helpful neighbor) who were willing and wanting to practice their roping.   We had a few calves out on pasture that needed to be treated, and following treating the calves we moved them all down the road to the next pasture.   I didn’t get any photos of moving the cattle this time as I put my camera away and helped move the cattle, but it looked at lot like the photos I took during a cattle drive last year here.

Check out the 3 photos in the middle of Tony throwing a heel loop… he makes it look soo easy!

Thanks again to Tony & Janelle for roping the calves and for letting me take some photos.
