There were so many things about this equine photo session that made my heart happy! First off, it is one of the most amazing locations; in southern Alberta just off Hwy 22 along the Livingstone Mountains. Its not very often I get to photograph with mountain scenery in the background so this was a nice treat. We were also blessed with a beautiful evening – not to many mosquitoes and the warm light from the setting sun washing over us. A good looking quarter horse named Holly. And lastly, I got spend some special time with my friend Stacie.
I met Stacie through working at Wilderness Ranch Camp, and over the past couple years I’ve had the privilege to work and ride beside this pair. Stacie has such a kind heart, caring personality, beautiful smile and great love for horses; all which shine through in these images.

Above picture is one of my favorites from this session – simply a quiet moment between a girl and her horse amongst nature’s beauty.
Stacie I hope you love these images of you and your beloved girl Holly. Thanks for just being you and letting your beautiful self shine. Holly is blessed to have a talented horsewoman like you guide her, just as you are blessed to have Holly teach you things that can only be learned from our wonderful horses.
If you would like to spend some time with horses at this beautiful location, check out Wilderness Ranch! They have a variety of kids, adult, and family summer camps.
